What is Artificial intelligence (AI)?

AI is a technology that enables machines to learn from data, identify patterns, and make decisions without human intervention.

Examples of Artificial intelligence (AI):- 

1. Voice assistants like Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant use natural language processing and machine learning to understand and respond to user requests.

2. Self-driving cars use a combination of sensors, cameras, and machine learning algorithms to perceive their environment, make decisions, and control the vehicle.

3. Facial recognition technology uses computer vision and machine learning algorithms to identify and verify individuals based on their facial features.

4. Personalized recommendations on streaming services like Netflix and Spotify use machine learning algorithms to analyze user behaviour and preferences and suggest content that the user is likely to enjoy.

5. Fraud detection software used by banks and credit card companies uses machine learning algorithms to identify patterns and anomalies in financial transactions and flag suspicious activity for further investigation.

Types of Artificial Intelligence(AI):-

1. Reactive machines: These are AI systems that can only react to specific situations, without the ability to form memories or use past experiences to inform future decisions.

2. Limited memory: These AI systems can use past experiences to inform future decisions, but only for a limited period. 

3.Theory of mind: These AI systems can understand the thoughts, emotions, and beliefs of other agents, such as humans or other AI systems.

4. Self-aware: These AI systems have a sense of self-awareness and consciousness, which allows them to understand their existence and make decisions based on that understanding.

5. General AI: This is an AI system that can perform any intellectual task that a human can, and can learn and reason in any domain. General AI is still largely theoretical and has not yet been achieved.

Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI):-

1. Healthcare: AI is used in healthcare for a variety of purposes, including diagnosing diseases, developing treatment plans, and monitoring patient health.

2. Finance: AI is used in finance for fraud detection, risk management, and investment analysis.

3. Retail: AI is used in retail for personalized product recommendations, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.

4. Transportation: AI is used in transportation for self-driving cars, traffic management, and predictive maintenance.

5. Education: AI is used in education for personalized learning, intelligent tutoring systems, and educational data mining.
